Whiplash Self-Care Part Two Las Vegas Dr Explains

In our last self-care whiplash management and treatment piece we discussed a few options (Stage 1 and stage 2) that someone can use to take care of themselves while at home. In this page today, we are going to describe various treatment methods that you can use to help facilitate the self-care at home during the healing stages (that include acute (stage 1), sub-acute (stage 2), remodeling and chronic). We will look at this in details below for those who have been following I know you must have comes across all the terms that we have mentioned above. And remember always consult a car accident chiropractor, such as ourselves in Las Vegas.
In the acute and the sub-acute stages, similar self-care treatment techniques can be applied here as well. You cannot hurt yourself with heat and ice or a combination of both if done properly, so they can be used while you are at home indefinitely. According to car accident doctor, many patients have stated that these methods are very helpful especially when it comes to alleviating the pain. If we use the analogy of the cut on the skin in the acute stage, the cut usually new and fresh. It very painful and sensitive unstable and if not checked well it might continue to nosebleed. After it completes seventy-two hours and enters the sub-acute phase, the wound is a scab and it can be reinjured if tampered with and if it occurs due poor self-management skills, the wound might take a longer duration of time to heal. Don’t pick at your cut anyway, as we enter the later the sub-acute phase, the wounds scab is white mature and self-care is very important. Make sure you think about activity restoration and strengthening.

Stage 3: Remodeling Phase

This phase occurs after 14 weeks to 12 months or even more. In this stage, you find that we are about 3months to a year after an injury occurred, and we should more aggressive to the health care we are giving ourselves. You need to do more advanced exercise such as aerobics (walk/run, walking or a combination) this because aerobics have been discovered to be very effective for our entire body. The core and the main key point here is to ensure that you strengthen your muscles better and make them recover to their original working form as soon as possible. Work on those exercises that are challenging you when trying to balance yourself to restore your neuro motor system and reintegrate neural pathways.

Stage 4: Chronic

This phase is what we refer to as chronic stage because the effects that were caused by the accident cannot be reversed. All the above explained together with the stage one and two can be used to maintain a balance and your best levels of function. If you have pain, just ignore it and continue moving, stay engaged, stay active in family, work activities and do not allow the condition to win. Make you avoid your chronic disability by making yourself active as much as possible.
